Meet the team:

Hannah Garbo, Stephanie Josifovski, Thomas G Burt, Abbie Vane-Tempest, Nathaniel Hole, Mitch Thornton, Logan McArthur, Astra-Lia Opal England and Kyle Stephens.

Eleni Cassimatis

Hannah Garbo

Hannah is a dedicated performer and singing teacher and has been active in the industry since a very young age. She has worked extensively in TV/film alongside renowned actors like Rebecca Gibney, Brenda Blethyn, Frankie J Holden, Emma Booth, and esteemed director Gillian Armstrong. In 2011, Hannah received a performance scholarship to attend the McDonald College for musical theatre and has since performed in numerous theatre productions in the region, including Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar, Rumpleteazer in Cats, and Yum Yum in The Mikado. She was nominated by the Canberra Amateur Theatre Awards as “Best Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical” for her role as Eponine in Les Misérables in 2012.

Hannah also involves herself in a lot of behind-the-scenes work, most recently as Assistant Musical Director for the Roo Theatre's production of Honk! (in which she also played the role of “The Cat”), as well as Producer for Summer Rain in 2014, also at the Roo Theatre. She is a member of the Aspiring Musical Theatre Company and receives vocal training by the esteemed Patricia Ortell in Sydney; She teaches private classes herself independently.

Stephanie Josifovski

Stephanie Josifovski

Stephanie has been performing since the age of three. She found her passion for dance at Dance Theatre Network which later grew into a love for musical theatre. Stephanie is interested in all aspects of the musical world, on stage and off, having received a Bachelor of Music major Music Theatre at the Australian Institute of Music (AIM) and also being a lighting/sound technician for her local musical societies. She hopes in the near future to make her mark in the professional industry, and then pass on her knowledge to eager young dreamers like herself.

Tom Burt

Thomas G Burt

Thomas is a Theatre and Performance student at the University of New South Wales and has trained at Marian Street Theatre for Young People & Australian Theatre for Young People, as well as the Arts Unit NSW and ATYP. His most recent show credits include Driven Mad as a part of the Short and Street festival, and has a long list of theatrical projects coming up in 2015. He has the privilege of working across theatre, film and screen, with a supporting role in Eddie Arya’s latest feature The System, and another feature in the works.

Abbie Vane-Tempest

Abbie Vane-Tempest

Graduating from the Australian Institute of Music with a Diploma in Music Theatre in 2014, Abbie's career has only begun. While at AIM Abbie was a cast member of RENT, and was also in the original workshop of the new Australian musical King of the Air starring Simon Gleeson. Last year she performed in Riverside Theatre's Little Shop of Horrors and recently wrapped filming the independent film Doctor Martin. Abbie's amateur theatre credits include BMSI'S Seussical (Bird Girl) and Hercules Saves Christmas (Megara). She has studied vocals with Brendan Monger at the Performance Studio since 2010.

Nathaniel Hole

Nathaniel Hole

Nathaniel has been performing since he was 11 years old in a production of Hornsby Gangshow, he has since blossomed and has been a part of such shows as The Producers, Seussical. His paid career started with Not a Word with Mon Sans Productions.

Mitch Thornton

Mitch Thornton

Mitch has been a part of Kore since it's early days, having been involved with the production of all of our shows.

A multi talented singer, musician, actor, director, technical operator, stage manager, photographer and teacher, Mitch is a key player in the Kore season.

Logan McArthur

Logan McArthur

Discovering a love for performance at high school, Logan threw himself into acting classes throughout his teenage years at NIDA. With a passionate love for everything from Shakespeare to modern Australian theatre, he's very excited to be part of Kore's Ensemble for 2015. Logan is also studying Economics (apparently) at Macquarie University as well as directing their upcoming production of King Lear.

Eleni Cassimatis

Astra-lia Opal England

Astra-lia was born in Western Australia. First performing as a dummy in a ventriloquist show, and after graduating Perth Modern School for the gifted and talented in 2007, she began to perform in local production with the Gilbert and Sullivan Society and South Perth Theatre Company. She was soon encouraged to further pursue her acting career and comedy flare.

She took multiple short classes throughout the following years studying Acting techniques, audition intensives and musical theatre techniques, with NIDA and WAAPA. She then moved to Newcastle NSW to study with the regional institute of performing arts pursuing an advance diploma of performing arts acting.

She possesses strong comedic timing and chameleon like qualities, combining with a diverse variety of acting skills and characters.

Kyle Stephens

Kyle Stephens

Kyle is a renaissance man or as we like to say a Jack of all trades, working in almost all facets of live theatre for one so young. He began singing at 14 years of age and has studied Classical Voice at the Australian Institute of Music (AIM) with Wendy Dixon. He has performed in Buffy, The Musical and in many recitals for AIM.

Behind the scenes, Kyle is the founder and executive producer of KORE PRODUCTIONS. Their inaugural production of Keating! The Musical, sold out at SIDETRACK THEATRE and was followed by a successful season of BOYS’ OWN MACBETH. His next production he not only produce but direct, WHO KNOWS, the play for all DR WHO fans. In his spare time he also moonlights as the lighting and sound operator various independent theatre companies and high school productions.
